Wal-Mart and RFID go together like, well, chocolate and peanut butter or NASCAR and left-hand turns. The announcement follows a 2006 announcement that RFID was expanding to 500 additional stores. Company officials outlined benefits that RFID expansion will bring to the company and to consumers--benefits that include better inventory control and 30-second checkout stands.
